Stratford Ontario: the invisible danger to a beautiful small city

Posted by seumasach on May 28, 2010

Stratford, Ontario

Stratford City Council

Dear Members of Council:

I have provided each of you and the Clerk with a compact disc containing several documents that illustrate the dangers and adverse health effects of electro magnetic radiation (EMR). By reading the information, you should begin to understand the great dangers caused by exposure to EMR and, in particular, radiation in the microwave frequencies. Please feel free to copy these discs and provide them to your friends, relatives, and constituents, because the information may help to save them from serious harm.

In 1962 the US Defence department learned that Soviet authorities were beaming microwaves from across the street directly into the US embassy in Moscow. Measurements taken at the time found that the intensity reaching the Embassy was approximately 500 times less than the US standard for occupational exposure. The death of the U.S. Ambassador, two other employees and illnesses of other staff, caused Operation Pandora to be launched and scientific research to be conducted. Analysis of the original data by Prof. Goldsmith concluded about the Moscow study that, evidence was suggestive for four health effects, (a) chromosomal changes, (b) hematological changes, (c) reproductive effects, and (d) increased cancer incidence from the microwave irradiation.

Stop Wi-Fi in its tracks

Posted by seumasach on March 26, 2010

As an early Internet adopter I love the opportunities technology offers. However, as someone who has a business offering patented products for protection from “electropollution” or “electrosmog,” I must speak out against the proposed Wi-Fi Project around the Plaza’s radius, being led by Councilman August Sebastiani.

The  Glastonbury Why Wi-Fi campaign launched on May 15th in response to Somerset County Council’s installation of a wi-fi service using 6 base stations that create an internet zone over Glastonbury Town Centre.

(click here for a map of where they are)

We believe they have acted in what they believe to be the best interest of Glastonbury but have not been well informed. If they had we don’t believe they would have taken the actions that that they have.

‘Wi-fi in schools may give children cancer’

Posted by seumasach on April 10, 2009

“However, with regard to the need for precautions, the Health Protection Agency is intending to carry out a research project to measure the effects of radio signals from wireless networks.”

As usual our politicians fail to grasp the nature of the precautionary principle. It doesn’t mean you introduce the technology and then finally get round to looking at its effects: it means you don’t introduce trhe technology until you have shown it to be safe.
“On the basis of research so far, there is no hard evidence of any ill health effects from wi-fi. The signals are very low, in fact there is more wattage coming from the battery.”
It is questionable how long Dr Michael Clark will be able to continue pontificating in his capacity as scientific spokeperson at the HPA. His boss, Sir William Stewart, has noted that, due to exposure,  “there may be changes, for example in cognitive function… there were some indications that there may be cancer inductions… there were some molecular biology changes within the cell and these were issues that we had to bear in mind.”
So there is evidence but Clark has decided its not “hard” evidence. Stewart also believes that children “are more vulnerable to radio frequency radiation emissions than adults. ” This suggests to my untutored mind that both children and adults are vulnerable.
With regard to Clark’s claims that “signals are very low, in fact there is more wattage coming from the battery”,  researchers “working for the BBC’s Panorama programme found the maximum signal strength one metre from a wi-fi-enabled laptop in a classroom in Norwich was three times that measured 100 metres away from a mobile phone mast nearby” So the EM signal coming from a battery is higher than that coming from a mast. Hmmmm?

WIRELESS technology should be removed from schools because of fears it could cause cancer or make pupils sterile later in life, teachers warned yesterday.

Life Goes Wireless

Electromagnetic fields (EMFs) are the essence of life—enabling and activating our genes to make us different from other animals. We are, after all, almost identical to chimpanzees when it comes to 98.8 percent of our genes. The reason we are very different from chimpanzees is, in large part,  because of the evolutionarily programmed influence of EMFs.

Open Letter to Minister of Industry Canada, The Honourable Tony Clement – Radiation from Cellphone Towers and WiFi is ruining our atmosphere

Posted by seumasach on February 4, 2009

 Sunday, February 01, 2009

Dear Minister

I find it hard to believe ,with all of the science pointing toward serious health effects from electromagnetic fields in our atmosphere, that you, The  Minister of Industry for Canada, would even contemplate  WiFi ing the whole of Canada.
Many of us Canadians are sensitive to radio wave radiation and are finding it difficult NOW, to find a place were we don’t suffer from radiation, so where are we to go for safety if you radiate our entire country??

Is wi-fi making me sick?

Posted by seumasach on January 9, 2009

Is wi-fi making me sick?

10 days ago I got wifi in my apartment and have had it constantly switched on, and I have been feeling sick, dizzy, aching and even having visual problems since. My blood pressure has even risen very high and I keep feeling my heart beat very stongly now and again. I went out today and after a while I felt okay again, then came home and it started again. could there be a connection, I hear 3 in 100 people are senstive to such things…

My dear friend, your reaction to Wi-Fi and the symptoms are well documented – it’s know as electrohypersensitivity. You appear to be having an extreme reaction. The governments around the world and the wireless industry are denying this condition exists even though they have been aware of it since the 1940’s. They are running scared because so many people have gotten sick and there is a huge liabilty around saying that a technology is safe when it isn’t. The German government has come out and said all citizens should avoid Wi-Fi. That’s just the tip of the iceberg.
