Thanks to the so-called PISA* (OECD’s Programme for International Student Assessment) survey, in Sweden we now know: student scores in maths, reading comprehension and natural sciences are plummeting. The results are prompting rage in Swedish schools. Something is wrong.

Norfolk County Council imposing Wi-Fi exposure

Posted by seumasach on February 15, 2013

Powerwatch

14th February, 2013

Cringleford Primary School in Norwich is due to move into brand new buildings over the summer of 2013. Like many other councils and schools, Norfolk County Council are continuing to spend public money to irradiate the children in their care with WiFi all day every day. It is not that they are installing WiFi badly – it is that they are installing it at all, especially in primary schools. The new primary school will be irradiated by up to 19 wireless Access Points.

Letter to Dr. Perry Kendall Provincial Health Officer of British Columbia on wi-fi

Posted by seumasach on August 29, 2012

My letter to Dr. Perry Kendall Provincial Health Officer of British Columbia on Wi-Fi. Yet this letter applies to ALL forms of wireless in ALL countries:

August 24, 2012

Dear Dr. Kendall:

I agree with Mr. Robert Riedlinger and noted author Iris Atzmon of Israel that if Deputy Health Minister Yaakov Litzman can implore the Education Minister of Israel, Gideon Sa’ar, to immediately suspend installation of wireless internet in schools due to the well documented hazards of RF – EMF, Canada should be doing the same, as should all countries.

The Microwave Factor

21st May, 2012

Having recently listened to a disturbing school sales pitch to parents, by an educator who wanted to introduce IPADs to the school,

it was truly alarming to discover that the dangers of exposing children to pulsed microwave radiation especially as they

are developing, had not been investigated or considered. This appears to be the case in some private and government schools across the country.

Wi-fi in schools, civil action: Morrison v. Portland Public Schools

Posted by seumasach on April 2, 2012

Magda Havis

January 23, 2012.

Update:  The American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM) wrote a letter to the Public Utilities Commission of the State of California, dated January 19, 2012.

This letter begins:

Dear Commissioners:

The Board of the American Academy of Environmental Medicine opposes the installation of wireless “smart meters” in homes and schools based on a scientific assessment of the current medical literature (references available on request).  Chronic exposure to wireless radiofrequency radiation is a preventable environmental hazard that is sufficiently well documented to warrant immediate preventative public health action.

Canada: campaign against wi-fi in schools

Posted by seumasach on May 31, 2011

The following is  a letter from parents in Richmond Hill Ontario to “The Liberal’s editor.

Letter to the Editor,

I am a parent of three elementary school children and I am writing about my concerns regarding the Wi-Fi technology in their school. I am a medical professional and my field deals with patient exposure to electromagnetic frequencies. I am well aware of the health implications that EMF’s have on the human body and I am trained to keep exposure to a minimum. My husband and I have made every effort to remove Wi-Fi from our home so our children can grow in a healthy environment and I am appalled that they are now being subjected to it at school without our consent. This is a violation of parental rights and our children should have the right to learn in a safe school environment.

This constant low level microwave radiation can cause serious neurological and cardiac issues, as well as cancer. There are numerous peer-reviewed studies that have proven this and schools around the globe are now removing Wi-Fi because of the documented health hazards. As of May 27, 2011, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, has stated that they will be using the pre-cautionary principle and will be removing all Wi-Fi devices from schools due to health safety issues. Neglecting the facts on this issue is irresponsible and is putting our children at a high risk for serious health problems.

We are teaching our children ways to help clean up the environment yet we are purchasing this costly technology which pollutes their body, the earth and takes money away from employing more teachers, purchasing books and helping the large number of students with mental health issues. Health Canada and the Ministry of Education have made a grave mistake and changes need to be made immediately.

Parents, teachers and administration need to review the non-industry funded studies and take action by contacting their MPs and school board trustees. Non-consent forms, which can be found at http://www.citizensforsafetechnology.org http://www.citizensforsafetechnology.org , can be completed and handed in to school administration.

Sincerely,

Jim and Lynnette Haralampopoulos

Press Release 16th September 2009 HPA Wi-fi ‘Research’ is Pure Spin

Mast Sanity

16th September, 2009

Nearly 2 Years ago Mast Sanity welcomed the announcement from the UK’s Health Protection Agency (HPA) that more research was to be done into Wi-Fi[1] after Sir William Stewart requested an enquiry into Wi-Fi in schools.[5]

However we believed at the time that this ‘Research’ was merely a smokescreen, to appear to be doing something without actually doing anything new.

Government response to school WiFi petition panned

Posted by seumasach on July 10, 2009

The government has received the Bioinitiative Report and therefore knows that the statement by the HPA that there is ‘no scientific evidence of any health risks’ is a barefaced lie.
