How McCain Could Win

It’s November 5 and the nation is in shock. Media blame it on the “Bradley effect”: Americans supposedly turned into Klansmen inside the voting booth, and Barack Obama turned up with 6 million votes less than calculated from the exit polls. Florida came in for McCain and so did Indiana. Colorado, despite the Democrats’ Rocky Mountain high after the Denver convention, stayed surprisingly Red. New Mexico, a state where Anglos are a minority, went McCain by 300 votes, as did Virginia.
The Age of Triumphalism is over
Americans are no longer in the mood to chase after distant evildoers.

All but lost amid the hullabaloo of the presidential campaign, the State Department recently dropped North Korea from its list of state sponsors of terrorism. Kim Jong Il pocketed a concession that even a year ago would have seemed unimaginable. The American people — feeling more threatened by Wall Street than by Pyongyang — managed barely a shrug. Anyone following closely the “war on terror” will automatically replace the code words “bin laden” with the modern shadow state meaning “inside job”. There are those who say this in private but deny it public. There has been much speculation that Obama will not be allowed to come to power. This article and others like it that appear in the mainstream media prepare the the way for the continuity of government act to come into full effect. If the election is delayed, it would be a major victory for the forces behind the coup.
