The empire and the robots

Havana. August 19, 2009

(Taken from CubaDebate) Granma

A little while ago, I wrote about U.S. plans to impose the absolute superiority of its air force as an instrument of domination over the rest of the world. I mentioned the project of that country possessing more than 1,000 state-of-the-art F-22 and F-35 bombers and fighter planes in its fleet of 2,500 military aircraft. By 20 years later, the totality of its warplanes will be robot-operated. Read the rest of this entry »

What Should Be Demanded From The United States
Reflections by Comrade Fidel Castro
20/7/2009 Cuba news Agency
The meeting in Costa Rica didn’t, nor could it, lead to peace. The people of Honduras are not at war, it’s just the perpetrators of the coup who are using weapons against the people. One should demand that they cease their war against the people. That meeting between Zelaya and the coup was only good for discrediting the constitutional president and wearing away at the energies of the Honduran people. Read the rest of this entry »

He did not offend, nor did he wish to offend any other Latin American country, but sticking to the truth in every minute of his appearance: Venezuela, Bolivia and Nicaragua, as spokespersons for the ALBA, expressly rejected the idea of the Final Declaration being presented as a consensus agreement. Trade, within a society and between countries, is the exchange of goods and services produced by human beings. The owners of the means of production appropriate the profits. As a class, they are the leaders of the capitalist state and they boast of fostering development and social wellbeing through market. This they worship as an infallible God. REFLECTIONS BY FIDEL

The McCain Tour and the Manifest Destiny of the U. S. Fourth Fleet

(Translated by ESTI) Granma

While I was preparing a reflection about McCain’s relationship with the anti-Cuban terrorist mafia in Miami and other related subjects of historical interest, fresh news was flowing about this character that is being projected by the empire’s hawks as Bush’s replacement: his visit to Colombia and Mexico which will begin tomorrow. It is not possible to avoid them since they confirm the opinions we have held. Read the rest of this entry »
