4th March, 2012

Now is the time for a paradigm shift in international approach towards resolving the Afghanistan issue. This is the moment for a healing touch; it’s time for the occupation forces to disengage and leave Afghanistan at its own. Left to itself, Afghanistan would normalize after some constructive aftershocks. International community has wandered in the wilderness to find a viable solution for Afghanistan. Too many cooks have indeed spoiled the broth. Everyone had been giving own vision and wisdom; hardly any one cared to incorporate the Afghan perspective and sensitivities to ever-changing recipes. Formulation of Afghan crisis still continues, emanating from lack of consensus on policy and objective. A late January Pew Research Centre poll indicates that 56 percent, of Americans want troops removed from Afghanistan as soon as possible, while just 38 percent believe the US should stay until Afghanistan is stabilized.

The crisis is at its end” is no longer a relieving statement made by some political analysts, as the crisis is really close to its end. Baba Amro is now under the control of the Syrian army… and so are the armed groups of which a big number escaped to the Lebanese borders dubbing their retreat “tactical”.

Revealed: government plans for police privatisation

Posted by seumasach on March 3, 2012

The rise of the private security man is a key element in the transition to corporate feudalism, the true aim of the Thatcher revolution. It is further confirmation that the marxist theory of the state is false- far from merely being a vehicle to promote elite interests, it is a barrier which they are determined to destroy. We are witnessing the dismantling of the legal and constitutional framework of the British state.

Guardian

2nd March, 2012

Private companies could take responsibility for investigating crimes, patrolling neighbourhoods and even detaining suspects under a radical privatisation plan being put forward by two of the largest police forces in the country.
