Disturbing honeybees’ behavior with electromagnetic waves: a methodology

Posted by seumasach on August 14, 2017

Journal of Behaviour

9th May, 2017

Abstract

Mobile phone companies and policy makers point to studies with contradictory results and usually claim that there is a lack of scientific proof of adverse effects of electromagnetic fields on animals. The present perspective article describes an experiment on bees, which clearly shows the adverse effects of electromagnetic fields on these insects’ behavior. The experiment should be reproduced by other researchers so that the danger of manmade electromagnetism (for bees, nature and thus humans) ultimately appears evident to anyone.

UK needs new party to stop ‘catastrophic’ Brexit

Posted by seumasach on August 9, 2017

The pro-European faction within the British ruling class has finally made it’s move after biding it’s time for so long. Behind it, of course, is George Osborne, the architect of the aborted strategic deal with China. This split goes right to the top and no quarter will be asked or given as it is fought to a conclusion over the coming months and years. The Brexiteers will be hoping to exploit divisions within Europe reducing the continent to the CIA’s old Europe of the regions, a chaos on a par with the fragmentation of Yugoslavia. The Osborne faction is betting on the failure of this neocon wet dream and sees the Brexit faction left twisting in the wind. But our fate lies not in our own hands but depends on developments in the USA, as well as Europe.

Guardian

9th August, 2017

A former chief of staff to David Davis has said Brexit is a catastrophe that must be stopped and called on centrist MPs to form a new party.

General ‘Mad Dog’ Mattis is the only one who can stop North Korea and US tensions from getting out of hand

Posted by seumasach on August 9, 2017

“It is the military around Trump, the sanest men in his administration, led by “Mad Dog” Mattis, who will, we can hope, stop matters getting out of hand.”

Trump is now role-playing “mad dog”, at least, let’s hope he’s role playing, whilst “mad dog” himself is cast in the role of one of the “adults” who restrain Trump. This is a clever ploy enabling Trump to escape being stereotyped as a compromiser with regard to Russia ,Iran or North Korea whilst the “realist” character of the Presidency is attributed to his more sore-minded entourage.

Independent

9th August, 2017

Donald Trump’s talk of annihilating North Korea with “fire and fury likes of which the world has never seen” – a threat delivered from his golf resort in New Jersey – was by far the most aggressive rhetoric used by a US President in difficult dealings with the country.

European business seethes over new US sanctions law

Posted by seumasach on August 9, 2017

What Mr Mercuris fails to point out here is that this is an existential challenge to Europe. His response to this is a defeatist one insisting on the EU’s subordination as a kind of iron law. Like the rest of the RT crowd Mercuris sees in the “EU’s disintegration…. the possibility of a fresh start.” I sincerely hope the Russian leadership doesn’t actually  share this idiocy. It is noteworthy that Mercuris sees no connection whatever between a largely neocon London government negotiating in bad faith over EU withdrawal and a neocon led Congress targeting Europe with sanctions. Fortunately, there are signs of resistance to the neo-con onslaught within the EU and, quite frankly, it is ridiculous to cite Rasmussen as typifying the European response.

The dispute between the US and Germany over the anti-Russian pipeline provisions of the new sanctions law continues to mount, with RT reporting Klaus Schaefer, a German businessman whom it describes as the CEO of German energy major Uniper fiercely denouncing the new sanctions as a ploy to force Europe to buy expensive liquified American natural gas instead of cheap Russian pipeline gas.

McMaster solidifies power at NSC

Posted by seumasach on August 8, 2017

We here see a playing out of the chickenhawk versus realist dilemma which  surfaced dramatically during the Iraq War. The realists won the first round with the destitution of Rumsfeld. Now they are going head-to-head again with the neocon “chickenhawks” dominating Congress and the realists closely linked to the military in control of the White House. The chickenhawks are on a high after voting through sanctions against Russia, Iran and North Korea and will be pushing on to destabilize Europe working in tandem with their Brexit allies in the UK. But Trump is far from done and one has the impression by the way he is playing his cards that he is far from the fool he is so often made out to be.

and supports Iran deal, sees Israel as occupier

Last night President Trump issued a statement affirming his support for National Security adviser H.R. McMaster in the face of a storm of criticism from rightwing outlets. The statement is a sign that Trump and his new chief of staff are taking the realist side of the debate inside his administration over foreign policy.

BRICS countries strike fatal blow on US dollar supremacy

Posted by seumasach on August 5, 2017

Pravda

4th August, 2017

The United States has declared a war of sanctions on Russia and continues putting trade pressure on China. It is not ruled out that the USA will restrict supplies of steel products from China. In return, Moscow and Beijing intend to abolish the US dollar in mutual settlements within the scope of the BRICS organization. The move will mark the end of the era of the undivided financial domination of the United States of America in the world.
