A new paradigm for a post-imperial world

America’s Nightmare: The Obama Dystopia: Manipulation, propaganda, imagery & PR wizardry

After 8 years of the Bush-Cheney nightmare during which we saw the wanton destruction of Afghanistan and Iraq, the cynical negation of centuries of Law designed to protect the most basic human rights and a foreign policy worthy of Genghis Khan, there came along the “Great Black Hope” in the persona of Barack Obama. The collective world consciousness turned uncritically to what was presented as a new era for peace, change and trust in Government.

Loud Paradigm Shift Rumblings

Numerous events have taken place of global importance. Alone, each story seems of some significance. Together, they paint a mosaic of extreme change in a very dangerous sequence of events that fit together. The greater aggregate story is that a tremendous paradigm shift is underway, with early steps and major moves by global players in clear view. The Western analysts and pundits and mavens are missing it. A PARADIGM SHIFT HAS BEGUN, WITH BANKING POWER SHIFTING TO THE CREDITOR NATIONS AS THE USDOLLAR IS SUPPLANTED, MADE POSSIBLE BY SEVERAL NEW INSTITUTIONAL PILLARS AS WELL AS NEWLY FORGED ALLIANCES. The consequences are significant and will change the face of global banking and commerce. The Hat Trick Letter has described the various steps and their importance all along the way. Much more detail is provided for each major point to follow in the HTLetter reports. Some in the United States and England believe that a return to normalcy comes. They are wrong by 180 degrees. The G20 Meeting of finance ministers and heads of state was the warning. The message from that meeting in London has been long forgotten, a call made in my public article immediately after its conclusion. This article provides an outline of events that have occurred only in the last few weeks, as the pace is accelerating for transformation that begins at the foundation. Piece it all together, use some mental power, sprinkle with only a little imagination, connect some dots easily, and take a look at the global picture that is emerging. Yesterday came the crowning blow, as the United Arab Emirates rejected the Saudis in the Gulf monetary union. My belief is that the rising power in the UAE wants Russia instead of the Saudis, who are tied at the US hip.

UK faces rating blow as debt may soar 100pc

Posted by seumasach on May 22, 2009

The Treasury said there was a lot of economic uncertainty around and that it had already published plans to halve the budget deficit – predicted to hit £175 billion ($275bn) this year – over the next five years.

The problem is S&P does not believe the government numbers

Britain risks losing its precious triple-A credit rating because of the danger that government debt may soar close to 100 per cent of GDP, and uncertainty over policy before an election due by next year.

Scotland the Deaf!

Posted by smeddum on May 22, 2009

By Paul Anderson
Friday 22 May 2009

There is an issue that has not fully come to the surface in Scotland: the health hazards of wind farms.
Here is wiki report that does not mention health.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wind_power_in_Scotland

There is much in the report and everything seems, all fine and well.
There is this sentence “The siting of turbines is sometimes an issue, but surveys have shown high levels of community acceptance for wind power in Scotland.”

This may come as a shock but there are other reports that are alarming.

here.

I quote.

Residents suffer from ringing in the ears, headaches, sleeplessness, dangerously elevated blood pressure (requiring medication), heart palpitations, itching in the ears, eye watering, earaches, and pressure on the chest causing them to fight to breathe

And I am writing this just 2 days after the opening of Scotland’s biggest wind power farm http://iclanarkshire.icnetwork.co.uk/news/scotland/headlines//tm_headline=salmond-opens-on-shore-wind-farm&method=full&objectid=23668332&siteid=50144-name_page.html

Then we have expert PR men or doctors in denial, or perhaps we can blame the victims for not knowing what is the matter.
http://www.theepochtimes.com/n2/content/view/16774/

“Wind energy advocates say studies show no proof that turbines cause health problems and that residents who live near wind farms have few complaints about them. ”

Everything is well!
Not. http://www.viewsofscotland.org/library/turbines_and_health.php

Michael Hudson: The latest in junk economics, the Toll Booth Economy

Posted by smeddum on May 20, 2009

By MICHAEL HUDSON  May 20, 2009

counterpunch.org

It looks like bookstores are about to be swamped this summer and fall by advisories which publishers commissioned a year ago, as the economy was going off the rails. The preferred marketing strategy is to offer advice by celebrity insiders on how to restore the  happy 1981-2007 era of debt-leveraged price gains for real estate, stocks and bonds. But the Bubble Economy was so debt-leveraged that it cannot reasonably be restored.

For the time being we are being fed Wall Street defenses of the Bush-Obama (that is, Paulson-Geithner) attempt to re-inflate the bubble by a bailout giveaway that has tripled America’s national debt in the hope of getting bank credit (that is, more debt) growing again. The problem is that debt leveraging is what caused our economic collapse. A third of U.S. real estate is now estimated to be in negative equity, with foreclosure rates still rising.
