France 2012-2014: The big republican earthquake and its international impact

LEAP 2020

16th April, 2012

Just as LEAP/E2020 has been anticipating since November 2010 (GEAB N°49), the Socialist candidate (1), in this case François Hollande, will win the 2012 French presidential election (2). There is still the question relating to the first round of this election: will Nicolas Sarkozy, the outgoing president, come out ahead or behind Marine Le Pen (it was also part of our November 2010 anticipation) (3)? Therefore, it’s time to anticipate the consequences of this election for France, Euroland and the EU as well as at world level (NATO, G20, Euro-BRICS) because de facto it’s much more important for the current world’s progress, in full transition because of the world crisis, than the next American election which will see Barack Obama and Mitt Romney clash head-to-head (two candidates financed massively by Wall Street) against a backdrop of the US political system’s general paralysis (4).

Posted by seumasach on April 16, 2012

Coulisses de Bruxelles

15th April, 2012

SNP ‘considers Nato policy change’

Posted by seumasach on April 16, 2012

I would bet that Salmond will indeed change the SNP’s policy on NATO and advance his vision of Scotland as an Atlanticist satellite

Newropeans(Source: BBC)

15th April, 2012

The SNP leadership is considering proposing a change to the party’s policy on Nato, BBC Scotland understands. The party has been opposed to membership of the military alliance for more than 30 years. But the next meeting of its National Council in June is expected to discuss whether an independent Scotland should remain in Nato. The SNP would maintain its commitment to ditching nuclear weapons.

It gives me great pleasure to study the document which just reached me — ‘Explanation of Vote’ on the United Nations supervision mission for Syria by Ambassador Hardeep Puri at the UN Security Council in New York a little while ago. Before Puri spoke, External Affairs Minister S.M.Krishna telephoned UN’s joint special envoy for Syria Kofi Annan to underscore India’s support for his mission.

Ever since the gradualist doctrine natura non facit saltus cast an ossifying spell on the academic community, catastrophist theories of myth and other traditions have been anathema to the learned.

12th April, 2012

In one of the more bizarre foreign policy announcements of a bizarre Obama Administration, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has announced that Washington will “help” Kosovo to join NATO as well as the European Union. She made the pledge after a recent Washington meeting with Kosovan Prime Minister Hashim Thaci in Washington where she praised the progress of the Thaci government in its progress in “European integration and economic development.” 1
