The sickening filth our international community has become

21st September, 2011

Never have I felt so revolted, disgusted, disappointed and violated at belonging to the same species as those sickening creatures crawling around our international community today. The Libya Question and the subsequent UN General Assembly in September was a study in spinelessness, lack of morals, absence of fibre and total disrespect for the law.

24th August, 2011

Calling for a Ceasefire in Libya

Posted by seumasach on August 19, 2011

FPIF

19th August, 2011

The undersigned organizations and individuals call on Congress to support peace, not war, in Libya. The four-month NATO military intervention in Libya, in which the U.S. Africa Command plays a vital role, has reached a stalemate, and is killing civilians rather than protecting them. The best way in the short term to save civilian lives and in the longer term to achieve the stability in which the Libyan people can develop democratic institutions is to promote an internationally-led cease-fire and negotiations between the warring parties, provide generous humanitarian assistance, and maintain a strict arms embargo. To encourage this, we urge Congress to bar funding for any military or intelligence operations against Libya.

13th July, 2011

The French administration of Nicolas Sarkozy appears to be stepping up efforts to strike a deal with the Libyan government aimed at sidelining Muammar Gaddafi and bringing the NATO bombardment of the oil-rich state to a conclusion. The diplomatic manoeuvres reflect the growing crisis confronting the US, France and Britain as their illegal military campaign enters its fifth month without succeeding in its primary objective of forcing regime change in Tripoli.
