DOCTOR DIAGNOSES THE GENERAL MEDICAL COUNCIL WITH DEMENTIA

In an astonishing U-turn, the General Medical Council has reinstated Dr. Sarah Myhill to the Medical Register. In the previous twenty one months Dr Myhill was either suspended from the Medical Register or forced to practise medicine under severe restrictions. The GMC has conducted a series of prosecutions against Dr. Myhill since 2001, during which time she has faced the prospect of seven Fitness to Practise Hearings, the most recent having been booked for a full 25 days. All Hearings have been cancelled with no case to answer.

In typical hubristic fashion, the UK’s General Medical Council (GMC) has stripped Dr. Sarah Myhill of many of the functions required to care for her patients, while allowing doctors who have killed patients with sloppiness, lies, and egregious errors to continue in practice. She harmed no one, and no such accusation was made. Not a single patient has complained.

Sarah Myhill

I have been constantly investigated by the GMC since 2001. During this time the GMC have been taking the private and confidential NHS medical records of my patients without their knowledge or consent. This has been done without informing patients, nor asking permission, without anonymising the notes, nor informing the patient of their legal right to object to this action. The GMC state they do this in the Public Interest, but have consistently refused to state what that Public Interest is.

I’m livid! I’m banging my fists in FURY on my desk this Sunday morning in London UK at the

constant harassment of Dr Sarah Myhill, MB BS, by the wretched General Medical Council

(GMC) quango. This most excellent doctor is a lifeline support for many thousands of

patients, particularly those suffering from the much misunderstood illness of Myalgic

Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) whom she treats with respect,

compassion, kindness, understanding and consummate professionalism.
