Les images opèrent encore. Ceux qui regardaient les puissants moyens déployés par la République sur les Champs-Elysées, couvrant un vaste domaine d’armes et d’interventions, pouvaient s’imaginer que la France était encore une grande puissance. ..Ce qui est le cas d’ailleurs quand on la compare aux piètres capacités des autres pays européens, y compris la mirifique Allemagne – pour ne pas mentionner le Royaume Uni, tristement tenu en laisse par les Etats-Unis.

On 31 March 2010, without prior notice, the ten member States of the Western European Union (WEU) announced thedissolution of the structure. All the administrative organs will be shut down by the end of June 2010 at the latest. This decision was precipitated by the 13 March announcement of the United Kingdom’s imminent withdrawal from the Brussels Treaty (1948).

As Russia and the US signed a treaty to reduce their nuclear arsenals in Prague on Thursday, the German government was divided over when the remaining US warheads should be removed from German soil. The removal of the arms is part of the coalition treaty between Chancellor Merkel’s Christian Democrats and the Free Democrats.

Of course, the reason Russia isn’t part of NATO is that NATO is directed , primarily, against Russia. Still, calling for Russian membership is a good way of neutralising NATO and such a call coming from senior German defence figures is enormously significant.

Au cours des dernières années, l’accès illégal de Washington aux données bancaires confidentielles des ressortissants européens était devenu à la fois le symbole de la vassalité de l’Union européenne, et la pierre angulaire de l’intégration de l’UE dans l’Empire transatlantique. Cependant, en utilisant les nouveaux pouvoirs que lui confère le Traité de Lisbonne, le Parlement européen a interdit la légalisation de cette pratique. Pour Jean-Claude Paye, il ne s’agit pas d’une simple péripétie parlementaire, ni uniquement d’une question de libertés publiques, mais bien d’un coup d’arrêt donné à un processus qui était publiquement débattu pour la première fois.

Tension within the western alliance between the anglosphere and europe is becoming a dominant theme of 2010. We have an ongoing campaign to destabilise the Euro to the benefit of the dollar and ever greater attempts to wip the europeans into backing wars against the rest of the world. The unintended consequence of Anglo-American bullying may be to finally arouse Europe from its prolonged slumber and to assert itself as an independent force in the world.
