Posted by seumasach on July 28, 2013

[Since WW2 Europe has been plagued by the activities of deep-state networks, the “stay-behind” networks, controlled by Anglo-American intelligence. This is a landmark in Europe’s emancipation from such interference]

PressTV

28th July, 2013

The European Union (EU) is planning to assemble an independent intelligence body of its own in “an urgent response” to the recent revelation that the US has been spying on EU officials as well as European citizens.

Tehran seeks to reset relations

Posted by seumasach on May 15, 2012

“A trend in Europe is that compliant right-wing politicians who have forfeited European national security into American hands are on their way out, and a more self-assertive EU is on the rise that could detach itself from the American-Israeli militaristic modus operandi.”

Kaveh Afrasiabi

Asia Times

16th May, 2012

In the current tumult of diplomatic maneuvers ahead of the crucial Baghdad talks on Tehran’s nuclear program between Iran and the P5+1 nations scheduled for May 23, reflected in multiple “cold” signals from the West, Iran and France are poised to reset their troubled relations if certain conditions are met.

UE relinquishes inter-parliamentary control over its defense policy

Posted by seumasach on April 14, 2010

“As a result of this sleight of hand, we are heading – without any debate in the countries concerned – towards a new constitutional framework where European policies will be overseen by …. the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. In the meantime, only national parliamentary controls will be exerted, which is insufficient and may open the door to various types of power abuses.”

Voltairenet

3rd April, 2010

On 31 March 2010, without prior notice, the ten member States of the Western European Union (WEU) announced thedissolution of the structure. All the administrative organs will be shut down by the end of June 2010 at the latest. It’s time to invite Russia to join NATO

Posted by seumasach on March 19, 2010

Of course, the reason Russia isn’t part of NATO is that NATO is directed , primarily, against Russia. Still, calling for Russian membership is a good way of neutralising NATO and such a call coming from senior German defence figures is enormously significant.

Le Parlement européen a t-il arrêté l’intégration UE-USA ?

Posted by seumasach on March 1, 2010

Jean-Claude Paye

Voltairenet

18th February, 2010

Gates Calls European Mood a Danger to Peace

Posted by seumasach on February 24, 2010

Tension within the western alliance between the anglosphere and europe is becoming a dominant theme of 2010. We have an ongoing campaign to destabilise the Euro to the benefit of the dollar and ever greater attempts to wip the europeans into backing wars against the rest of the world. The unintended consequence of Anglo-American bullying may be to finally arouse Europe from its prolonged slumber and to assert itself as an independent force in the world.

NYT

23rd February, 2010

Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates, who has long called European contributions to NATO inadequate, said Tuesday that public and political opposition to the military had grown so great in Europe that it was directly affecting operations in Afghanistan and impeding the alliance’s broader security goals.
