From the Beijing-based Party magazine Qiushi, translated by David Bandurski of the China Media Project, Hong Kong University:
To keep to the road of peace and development, this is the grand promise China has made to the world. To this end, China has raised high the flags of peace, development and cooperation. It has pursued an independent foreign policy of peace and an open strategy of mutual benefit. It has earnestly practiced what it advocates, with the goal of building a harmonious world of lasting peace and common prosperity. In recent years, China’s path of opening and reform, its unity and initiative, its fairness and friendliness, its honesty and sense of responsibility, have won greater and greater respect in the international community, and led to a more objective, rational and friendly disposition [toward China]. However, China’s efforts and earnestness have met with an international public opinion environment (国际舆论环境) stacked unfairly against it. After the tragic events of July 5 in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in China, it would be useful to look more closely into the actual role of the US Government’s ”independent“ NGO, the National Endowment for Democracy (NED). All indications are that the US Government, once more acting through its “private” Non-Governmental Organization, the NED, is massively intervening into the internal politics of China. Engdahl’s article ties in with Thierry Meyssan’s consistent reporting (see below) of the covert nature of the NED and “sister” organizations which are engaged in the destabilization of countries of strategic, geopolitical interest for Washington under the guise of liberty and democracy.

Decoupling on the part of the under-developed economies is defined as accelerating along the path of eliminating inordinate reliance upon the US and other developed economies as export markets. 16:46, June 10, 2009
People’s Daily
If someone asks what kind of commodity market is most brisk in China this year, the ready answer would definitely be car market.
Against a backdrop of slump car markets worldwide from January to May this year, car market in China is the first to warm up, and car sales have grown for five months in a row.
