Press TV: April 6th Co-founder, Ahmad Salah is joining us to shed more light on what is going on. Many thanks for joining us Ahmad Salah. First of all we are looking at day 16 of this revolution, and two of the main headlines which seem to be very heavy in terms of its significance. One which came from the Vice President and he said there would be no ending of their regime, and two that the government is not going to tolerate these protests. What do you have to say to that?

“The Youth Revolution” has become the term widely used to describe Egypt’s recent uprising, despite the diversity of its members. Although people of all ages and various social backgrounds have taken part in one way or another in the (thus far) 15-day revolt, the uprising has been widely attributed to the youth primarily because of their 25 January Internet initiative.

The Egyptian revolution is being dissolved right in front of the world’s eyes by an optical illusion.
The protesters who have been on the streets for two weeks still want President Hosni Mubarak out. Now. Yet United States President Barack Obama is firmly in not-so-fast mode, glad that “Egypt is making progress”. Obama has not mentioned even once the capital words “free elections”.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has reportedly warned Israel not to interfere in the violent riots and possible regime chance happening in Egypt. The Turkish English language newspaper Hurriyet published an editorial by writer Semih Idiz which stated:
“Remarks Erdoğan made to us on the plane as we were returning from Syria, however, are bound to increase the animosity felt towards him among Israelis even further. Answering questions for the small group of journalists accompanying him Erdoğan said – when referring to what must not happen in Egypt – that Israel must under no circumstance interfere in that country.”
