India’s permissible limit for radiation levels from mobile phone towers is 900 times higher than the safe limit of 0.5 milliwatts per square metre, suggests a global report on health risks from exposure to wireless technology radiation, which was released on Sunday.

RANCHI: The erratic installation of mobile towers in the state have robbed Ranchiites of their sleep. Residents who have base transceiver stations (BTS towers) or mobile towers, installed atop their houses and near their flats are complaining of losing sleep. Some of them have complained of high-irritatibility as well. They are being advised by doctors to shift to a place which has lesser number of mobile towers to get good sleep and restore calm of mind.

New Delhi: The sealing drive of illegal mobile towers in Delhi began on Saturday following Telecom Department’s notice to 81 cell phone towers in the city. So far, eight towers have been sealed by the authorities concerned.

I agree with Mr. Robert Riedlinger and noted author Iris Atzmon of Israel that if Deputy Health Minister Yaakov Litzman can implore the Education Minister of Israel, Gideon Sa’ar, to immediately suspend installation of wireless internet in schools due to the well documented hazards of RF – EMF, Canada should be doing the same, as should all countries.
