ICEMS Releases Venice Resolution On EMF Safety

Posted by seumasach on June 7, 2008

“As an outcome, we are compelled to confirm the existence of non-thermal effects of electromagnetic fields on living matter, which seem to occur at every level of investigation from molecular to epidemiological.”

Initiated by the International Commission for Electromagnetic Safety,
following the 6th ICEMS Workshop, December 17, 2007.

EMFACTS

As stated in the Benevento Resolution of September 2006[1], we remain concerned about the effects of human exposure to electromagnetic fields on health. At the 6th ICEMS Workshop, entitled, “Foundations of bioelectromagnetics: towards a new rationale for risk assessment and management,” we discussed electro-hypersensitivity, blood brain barrier changes, learning and behavioral effects, changes in anti-oxidant enzyme activities, DNA damage, biochemical mechanisms of interaction, biological damage and, experimental approaches to validate these effects. As an outcome, we are compelled to confirm the existence of non-thermal effects of electromagnetic fields on living matter, which seem to occur at every level of investigation from molecular to epidemiological. MMR: The debate that won’t go away

Posted by seumasach on May 27, 2008

“The Department of Health is keen to stress that no children’s vaccine in this country has contained thiomersal for the past four years, and when it was formerly used in childhood vaccines it was at levels that were lower than those in the US.”

This statement requires verification from some reliable independent source.-Ed.

LEADER-TELEGRAM

The 2008 winter was the coldest in 40 years for the upper Midwest, Plains states and most of Canada. Minnesota newspapers report that this year’s opening of the locks to Mississippi barge traffic, delayed by three weeks, was the latest since the modern waterway opened in 1940. Mass death of bees in Germany:Pesticide approvals suspended

Posted by seumasach on May 26, 2008

There is an obvious ommission in this article: it fails to point out that the ban on these pesticicdes in France has not stopped the mass death of bees.

The cause of mass bee deaths has been established: pesticide products from chemical companies Bayer and Syngenta. They have been removed from sale in Germany. We should now pressure Bayer and regulators to remove them from sale elsewhere… Read the rest of this entry »

Varroa Mite or Electromagnetic Fields? New Research into the Death of Bees

Posted by seumasach on May 25, 2008

An important report whose translation we hope will soon be made public. However, Warnke is mistaken in thinking that  CCD first appeared only two or three years ago

Letter to Beekeepers and Beekeeper Associations (HESE PROJECT)

Dear Board Members and Directors of Beekeeper Associations,

Dear Beekeepers!

The death of bees has for some time concerned beekeepers, the media, but also worried

scientists who have affiliated themselves with our Kompetenz initiative for the protection

of man, environment and democracy (www.kompetenzinitiative.de).

The disturbing phenomenon is presently predominantly attributed to the Varroa mite in

newspapers and periodicals. It remains uncontested that there are such connections. Yet

plausible arguments have been put forward explaining that the mite attack also occurs as

a result of previous damage to the bees’ immune system due to electromagnetic fields.  Read the rest of this entry »

Bees and biodiversity linked to food shortage

Posted by seumasach on May 19, 2008

Leaving aside the usual “climate change” shibboleths, any reference to this taboo connection is significant. Someone out there is trying to conceal from us the devastation we face through the loss of bees and other pollinators.

FRANKFURT: A two-week conference aimed at ensuring the survival of species globally in the face of climate change and pollution opened Monday with delegates from more than 190 nations. Read the rest of this entry »

Insect Exhibition at Brenthurst

Posted by seumasach on May 19, 2008

Scientists in South Africa have established that “electromagnetic factors were significant in the decline of insect populations”. This is not strictly a surprise since EM has been used for some time to kill off insects, but it is significant that some scientists have had sufficient independence from the lobby to actually state this.

If you see ants simply as nuisance insects that invade your sandwiches on picnics, while bees hover over your Coke can, stop a moment and reconsider.

The South African Invertebrate Art Exhibition at Little Brenthurst is hoping to get everyone to think again about insects. The exhibition is an effort to draw attention to the decreasing numbers of insects, the earth’s barometer of how the environment is faring. Read the rest of this entry »

Persistent Loss of Bees Having Sour Effect on Economy

Posted by seumasach on May 18, 2008

Express-News

Reports coming in so far indicate further massive losses this spring. Since the bee die-off has been going on for some time and there are now none in sight , and since other pollinators are becoming rarities, we would expect serious shortages to emerge soon. Indeed, this could well be an element in the current shortages. However, due to the lack of proper investigative reporting it is difficult to assess the situation: the crisis could be upon us before most people are aware of the danger. Ultimately, without pollination, we face the prospect of famine.-Ed.

David Roy Park began finding empty hives where his bees should have been in the winter of 2006. In a matter of months, he went from 4,000 hives to 1,600.

“You go to the bee yard and open the hive and there’s just no bees in it,” said Park, a fourth-generation beekeeper who runs Cold River Apiaries in Moore, in Frio County. “We started losing bees left and right for no reason that we could figure out; they just disappeared.” Read the rest of this entry »
