Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah says the Egyptian Revolution will leave an impact on all regional and global developments.

“It has always been said that Egypt is the mother of the world. This is right and you (Egyptians) who are there, you are the great people who can, with your will and solidarity, change the face of the world,” Nasrallah said in a speech on Monday.

A million marching in the streets of Cairo this Tuesday, a million more marching towards the Egyptian presidential palace in Heliopolis in the upcoming “Friday of Departure”. The top graffiti – also scrawled on khaki-colored US Abrams tanks – as well as the top slogan, remains “the people want the system to fall”. The army seems to have chosen its side, tacitly affirming it “will not resort to use of force against our great people”.

“Karzai is banking on a pan-Afghan alliance to support his audacious plan to reconcile the Taliban, and the US is using the ethnic card to unravel Karzai’s alliance system.”

“Washington finds Karzai increasingly acting as an Afghan nationalist rather than as a US surrogate.”

“Meanwhile, Karzai is making sustained efforts to develop ties with Iran and Russia, including military cooperation, so as to reduce his dependence on the US by the 2014 timeline. Moscow has proposed a key role for Kabul in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.”
