CrossTalk on 9/11: Whodunit?

Posted by seumasach on March 10, 2010

Late in 2005 I organised the first meeting in Scotland questioning the official 9/11 theory. Annie Machon was on that platform: now she can put across her message to millions via RT. RT has become a veritable phenomena. Their technique of interviewing western dissidents allows them to raise contentious issues with a certain deniability and they are no longer burdened by Marxism-Leninism as in the old days. Those who insist on unipolarity , the world under an unchallenged superpower, must explain the emergence of such an across the board challenge to the hegemony of the western media viewpopint.

We take the incredible technological advances that have been made in the past 50 years for granted. Technology that was once a distant dream is now a part of the fiber and fabric of our culture. A typical American home is equipped with microwaves, cell phones, cordless phones, PDAs, computers, and a wide assortment of technological gadgetry designed to make life easier.
However, what price are we paying for these advances and, more importantly, what price are our children paying for living in a world filled with these energy emitting devices?

Europe bars Wall Street banks from government bond sales

Posted by seumasach on March 10, 2010

The EU is also trying to curb US financial power by creating its own monetary fund – a replica of the Washington-based IMF.The need of a European fund has emerged during the Greek crisis, as European politicians have insisted financial troubles should be resolved at home.

This is pretty sensational news and confirms that Europe is fighting back- Britain’s role as PIGGY in the middle will be interesting.

Guardian

8th March, 2010

European countries are blocking Wall Street banks from lucrative deals to sell government debt worth hundreds of billions of euros in retaliation for their role in the credit crunch.

Marjah, the city that never was

WASHINGTON – For weeks, the United States public followed the biggest offensive of the Afghanistan war against what it was told was a “city of 80,000 people” as well as the logistical hub of the Taliban in that part of Helmand. That idea was a central element in the overall impression built up in February that Marjah was a major strategic objective, more important than other district centers in Helmand.

I am not a criminal, insists billionaire behind Icesave

Posted by smeddum on March 8, 2010

Asked what happened to the bank’s money, Mr Björgólfsson claimed: “When you lose capital in this way, a lot of money goes to money-heaven. The value that has been wiped off the stock markets, the deposits in the banks and investment funds has gone. [It] has evaporated. It’s a common misunderstanding to ask: where did the money go?”

I am not a criminal, insists billionaire behind Icesave
One of the billionaires behind collapsed internet bank Icesave and its parent Landsbanki has denied being “a criminal” in a dramatic interview about Iceland’s banking crash.

Telegraph
Björgólfur Thor Björgólfsson spoke out in a new film ahead of Iceland’s crucial referendum on whether to bear the €4bn (£3.6bn) cost of Icesave’s failure.
Over the weekend, more than 90pc of Iceland’s electorate voted against a deal that would see the country pay back Britain and Holland for compensating 400,000 savers in the two countries.

Mr Björgólfsson and his father, Björgólfur Gudmundsson, the former owner and chairman of West Ham FC, owned 41pc of Landsbanki before it collapsed in October 2008. Asked what he would say to people who describe the bank’s owners as criminal, Mr Björgólfsson replied: “I have nothing to say to them. I am not a criminal and never have been.” He then detaches his microphone and walks off. Read the rest of this entry »

In the wake of the most serious financial breakdown to hit world capitalism since the collapse of the US stock market in 1929, not a single serious measure has been put into place to rein in the activities of the banks and financial institutions responsible for the crisis.

China Snubs Israeli Calls for Iran Sanctions

Posted by seumasach on March 7, 2010

American Free Press

March, 2010

The prime minister of contract murder, Binyamin Netanyahu, was not long permitted to rejoice over the agreement to sanction Iran which he had wrested from the Russian leadership. A few days later, China made it clear that it would in no case help to carry out such sanctions. Consequently, Netanyahu believed it necessary to pay a visit to the Chinese leadership, in order to bring them on course through an Israeli word of command.

End Wars – Rebuild Britain! A Programme for the End of Empire

A Programme for the End of Empire
Cailean Bochanan
7th March, 2010
With an election coming soon and Britain blindly heading towards the abyss now is the time to put forward a programme of action to get ourselves out of the deep hole we have dug, and persist in digging, for ourselves. The world’s foremost debtor nation per head, bankruptcy proceedings seem inevitable, both for our citizenry and for UK PLC, and the question must inevitably arise of where the bailout money has gone and how we manage to run prohibitively expensive wars on other peoples money especially when these same wars seem to be directed against those creditors themselves.
