The meaning of Biden’s sabre-rattling now becomes clear: it’s part of a fiendishly clever scheme to put a wedge between Russia and Iran. It’s becoming an amusing spectator sport watching the cretinous US leadership trying to cope with the reality of their ebbing power.

As Americans celebrate July 4th, they can contemplate that the union of “free and independent states,” like the former British colonial power, has evolved into its final manifestation–a complete whore house. While Members of Parliament in London charge their expense accounts with every personal expenditure, including the rental of adult xxx-rated films, an American newspaper put the reporting of public policy out to bids until politico.com blew the whistle.

In the annals of Russian-American summitry, Moscow has never before choreographed a welcoming ceremony for the visiting United States president in this fashion. The dramatic run-up to the arrival of US President Barack Obama in Moscow on Monday underscores the complexities of the context in which the two countries are going through at the summit.

A somewhat belated post but it’s good to see opposition to NATO and missile defence emerging in Poland. Of course, the first thing Obama did was to send some patriot missiles to Poland. For NATO and the empire control of Poland remains a top priority, just as in the days of Mackinder who summarised it’s significance (since Eastern Europe means above all Poland as a barrier between Germany and Russia) as follows:
“Who rules East Europe commands the Heartland;
Who rules the Heartland commands the world-island;
Who rules the world-island controls the world.”

One of the subjects will surely be missile defense. This is a subject which the defense ministers deal with, before it goes to the meeting of the government leaders (Strasbourg 4 April 2009).

The Russian flag flies at half mast at the Kremlin where the prevailing belief is that the idea of Iran posing a missile threat is a fairy tale.
Russia promises not to change its stance on Iran in spite of US efforts to reach a compromise with the Kremlin over its missile shield.

As we put it at the time: “I would imagine that full pressure is being exerted by the US/UK”. Could this be what “full pressure” amounted to?
eldib.com
It is evident that the anti-Russian propaganda in Poland reaches new heights. After the publicity campaign for the film “Katyn” (in the media I find a short information that all soldiers of Polish Army were compelled to see his film, as the part of their “cultural training”), the construction of the American “antimissile shield” become once again the propaganda tool, serving to stir both anti-Russian and anti-European emotions among common people. Only two weeks ago the newly elected in last September, Polish government was declaring officially its hardly concealed hostility towards this “shield” as the USA-owned, dangerous for Polish citizenry, military installation on Polish territory. And than suddenly, on the February 1st, Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Radek Sikorski (a member of the American Enterprise Institute, by the way) suddenly changed his mind and inclined, during his visit in Washington, to all pressures exercised by White House. This American “master of Eastern Europe” is wishing to establish in Poland not only the (anti)missile base, but also several subsequent, US Army owned, military bases. This supposedly in order to protect Poland from Russian hegemonistic drive.
