British climate scholar: ‘Climate Crisis Worse Than Recession’

Posted by seumasach on March 12, 2009

Is this the beginning of the end of the end of world history?

“He says we musn’t lose sight of the need to tackle global warming just because our economies are suffering.”

We mustn’t lose sight of the need to tackle global warming just because it’s freezing.

‘Climate Crisis Worse Than Recession’

“We are, I fear, at a defining moment in the world’s history,” the royal told a meeting of Brazilian business leaders ahead of a planned visit to the Amazon rainforest.

So-called “global warming” has shrunk from problem to punch line. And now, Leftists are laughing, too. It’s hard not to chuckle at the idea of Earth boiling in a carbon cauldron when the news won’t cooperate: Read the rest of this entry »

Is Nature Warning Us of a New Ice Age?

Posted by seumasach on January 16, 2009

“The intent of the global warming scare is to reduce world population. That is the stated intent of its initiators and of such important promoters of this and related anti-science scares as the World Wildlife Fund, founded by Britain’s Malthusian Prince Philip and former Nazi SS officer Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands. Isn’t it time to stop being a sucker for the fear- mongering of people with another agenda—a very evil agenda whose end result will be the reduction of world population from its current level of 5 to 6 billion to less than 2 billion souls, with the concomitant dissolution into perpetual war, famine and human misery that such a plan must entail?”

If such an agenda really does exist, I would suggest that the neo-Malthusians have hit on a much more effective device for population elimination and one based on the last word in technical progress: the telecommunications system. EM radiation can be destructive of life in general but also interferes with the ability of insects, birds and animals to orientate themselves. The disappearance of the bees and other pollinators ultimately  heralds our own demise. Significantly, “global warming”, or rather “climate change” is being consistently used in the media as a cover for this apocalyptic development. Here is some more background:

January 14, 2009 (LPAC)–Global warming fears aside, all students of climate science know that the Earth is presently in an Ice Age and has been for approximately the past 2 to 2.5 million years. This Ice Age has been characterized by successive advances and retreats of a glacial ice sheet, originating in Greenland and extending across the northern portions of the North American and Eurasian continents. Just 12,000 years ago, the undisputed geological evidence shows that New York, Chicago, and all of North America up to the Arctic regions were under a sheet of ice, estimated to have been from 1 to 2 miles thick. Mountain glaciers also extended downward from the Rocky Mountains and the Appalachians in regions further to the south than the main glacial mass. A similar situation prevailed over most of Germany, northern France, the British Isles, Scandinavia, Poland and other parts of eastern Europe, and Russia.

U. S. Senate Minority Report: More Than 650 International Scientists Dissent Over Man-Made Global Warming Claims

Posted by seumasach on December 15, 2008

US Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works

Full Report

INTRODUCTION:

Over 650 dissenting scientists from around the globe challenged man-made global warming claims made by the United Nations Intergovernemntal Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and former Vice President Al Gore. This new 231-page U.S. Senate Minority Report report — updated from 2007’s groundbreaking report of over 400 scientists who voiced skepticism about the so-called global warming “consensus” — features the skeptical voices of over 650 prominent international scientists, including many current and former UN IPCC scientists, who have now turned against the UN IPCC. This updated report includes an additional 250 (and growing) scientists and climate researchers since the initial release in December 2007. The over 650 dissenting scientists are more than 12 times the number of UN scientists (52) who authored the media-hyped IPCC 2007 Summary for Policymakers.

Stubborn glaciers fail to retreat, awkward polar bears continue to multiply

Posted by alfied on November 25, 2008

Up until now, the image of the helpless Polar Bear floating away on a piece of ice has been synonymous with the Global warmist’s campaign. It looks like they have drifted off message and we, at Inthesenewtimes, would like  to thank the Polar Bear community for helping us expose the Global Warming Theory for what it is; a pre-meditated lie.

By Christopher Booker

The Daily Telegraph

Second only to the melting of the Arctic ice and those “drowning” polar bears, there is no scare with which the global warmists, led by Al Gore, more like to chill our blood than the fast-vanishing glaciers of the Himalayas, which help to provide water for a sixth of mankind. Recently one newspaper published large pictures to illustrate the alarming retreat in the past 40 years of the Rongbuk glacier below Everest. Indian meteorologists, it was reported, were warning that, thanks to global warming, all the Himalayan glaciers could have disappeared by 2035. Read the rest of this entry »

US global dominance ‘set to wane’

Posted by seumasach on November 21, 2008

The US is having to accept the decline of its hegemony, but never mind:”global warming” will trigger “food and water scarcities that could fuel conflict around the globe”. If they can’t rule at least they can  make sure no one else can. Judging by this European parliament resolution the pollinator crisis is likely to do provoke food shortages  imminently. However, the same people who so obsessively talk up “global warming” show no interest in the pollinator crisis(notably, the Greens, of course). This should be food for thought.

BBC

21st november, 2008

US economic, military and political dominance is likely to decline over the next two decades, according to American intelligence agencies.

US clout will weaken as China and India grow more powerful, the National Intelligence Council (NIC) predicts in its latest report on global trends.

The US dollar will no longer be the world’s major currency and food and water scarcities will fuel conflict.

The world has never seen such freezing heat

Posted by seumasach on November 17, 2008

Telegraph

16th November, 2008

A surreal scientific blunder last week raised a huge question mark about the temperature records that underpin the worldwide alarm over global warming. On Monday, Nasa’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), which is run by Al Gore’s chief scientific ally, Dr James Hansen, and is one of four bodies responsible for monitoring global temperatures, announced that last month was the hottest October on record.
