Shining Light on the “Black World”

In January of 2002, the Washington Post ran a story detailing a CIA plan put forward to President Bush shortly after 9/11 by CIA Director George Tenet titled, “Worldwide Attack Matrix,” which was “outlining a clandestine anti-terror campaign in 80 countries around the world. Humour: ‘Bin Laden’s right-hand man in Europe’ after he is freed on bail

Posted by alfied on June 24, 2008

I think this article is an example of how sloppy the mob are getting. I particularly like this part “He will be under round-the-clock surveillance in a MI5 safehouse and is specifically banned from contacting Bin Laden.” Imagine that, not letting Abu Qatada have a quick chinwag with his best buddy.

Abu Qatada will be required to wear an electronic tag

Suspected Al Qaeda leader Abu Qatada is celebrating his release from prison with the release of a book in which he urges Muslims to commit terrorist attacks in the West.

In the 71-page tract, published in English translation on the internet, he repeatedly claims that fighting jihad, holy war, is obligatory for all Muslims and urges them to ‘terrorise’ non-believers. Read the rest of this entry »

If the poor of Africa are hungry, send them arms

It’s so difficult, apparently, to work out how to solve the food shortages in Africa. Because the price of food has just gone up, the way prices do sometimes, caught by a freak gust of wind or flare from the sun or something and whoosh, up they go, whether it’s oil or an Olympic Games or rice and it’s just bad luck.

Posted by seumasach on June 18, 2008

There is no doubt bigger players were involved and not just in the British elite: Spain sent a naval taskforce to support the coup

Ventura County Star By Lydia Polgreen New York Times News Service Wednesday, June 18, 2008 DAKAR, Senegal — The plot to overthrow the government of Equatorial Guinea in 2004 was so improbable, it sounded like something out of a tale from the tropics, too outlandish even for Graham Greene. Equatorial Guinea: coup plot trial begins

Posted by alfied on June 17, 2008

Chinless wonders seeking adventure or maybe genocidal terrorist’s attempt to gain a foothold in a soverign oil rich nation?

The trial of Simon Mann, a Briton accused of plotting to overthrow the president of Equatorial Guinea in a coup attempt, has opened in the capital Malabo.
Mann is facing charges of conspiring against Teodoro Obiang Nguema, leader of the small but oil-rich west African state, in 2004.
He faces the death penalty or a 30-year jail term if convicted after the court hearing, which began on Tuesday.
Mann, who served in Britain’s Special Air Services (SAS) was extradited to Equatorial Guinea this year from Zimbabwe, after being held there since 2004.

“The most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly – it must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over.” Joseph Goebbels, Hitler’s Minister of Propaganda

It takes a lot to shock me anymore, but indeed, shock is what registered when I listened to talk show host, Michael Reagan, blast these words during the second hour of his show, June 10, 2008:

Partial transcript of Reagan’s statements which can be heard here (3:12 minutes):

“Excuse me folks, I’m going to say this. We ought to find the people who are doing this, take them out and shoot them. Really. You take them out, they are traitors to this country, and shoot them. You have a problem with that? Deal with it. You shoot them. You call them traitors, that’s what they are, and you shoot them dead. I’ll pay for the bullets. ”Reagan adds, “How about you take Mark Dice out and put him in the middle of a firing range. Tie him to a post, don’t blindfold him, let it rip and have some fun with Mark Dice.” Read the rest of this entry »
