After the defeat of the attempted coup by the “rebels” a clear shift is noticeable in the Guardian, an enthusiastic supporter of the SNC. They now cite divisions in the “rebel” ranks and even cite Damascus based National Co-ordination Bureau above, bringing our attention to oppositional groups which oppose the SNC and FSA.

Usted lo ha dicho. Francois Hollande zigzaguea sin rumbo fijo. O sea, él mismo no sabe cuál es su política, sólo está tratando de mantenerse en movimiento. Él se da cuenta de que la posición oficial sobre Siria es insostenible. Pero es incapaz de adoptar una posición diferente. Acepta que Francia continúe, como en la época de Sarkozy, caminando detrás de Estados Unidos. ¿Cómo podría él trazar una nueva política en esas condiciones? Tiene a su lado a los responsables del ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores, los diplomáticos franceses no dejan de repetirle que estamos cometiendo un error muy grave en Siria, que normalmente Francia y Siria deberían ser aliados, como era en el pasado.

En clara continuación de la era Juppé-Levy-Kouchner, el ministerio francés de Relaciones Exteriores sigue confundiendo la propaganda de guerra con la realidad. Francia, capaz de brillar cuando utiliza inteligentemente el equilibrio entre las grandes potencias, se priva de todo margen de maniobra al aferrarse a una posición preconcebida y poco inteligente.

Le dernier double véto de la Russie et de la Chine sur la question syrienne doit bien renseigner que le monde a bien changé dans les rapports de force. Un triple véto doublé sur la Syrie ne se décide pas sur l’humeur, mais sur des analyses géostratégiques objectives. Il s’agit d’un affrontement entre deux conceptions du monde : l’une unipolaire et l’autre multipolaire. Les rapports de force entre les différentes puissances constituant les éléments clés, décisifs.

Washington’s reaction to blasts in Damascus is a downright justification of terrorism, slams Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. US State Department announced that terror acts in Syria are not surprising in light of the Assad regime’s actions.
