US, Iran – so close, yet far apart

The absence of the foreign ministers of Russia and China from the conclave of the P5+ 1 and Iran at Vienna today would suggest two things. One, they have better things to do elsewhere and, two, they don’t expect any big outcome at Vienna other than, perhaps, an extension of the stipulated deadline of July 20 for reaching a deal.
