Ashton appeals to Russia

Ashton seems to realize that Russian support will be crucial in getting the EU out of this mess. Cosying up to Russia won’t endear her to the Maidan men however! Of course, she has committed the EU to nothing by way of financial support- Ukraine to be left to tender mercies of IMF. This is the mother of all messes.

Feb 25 (Reuters) – Russia should behave like a good neighbour towards Ukraine and let it move forward in the way it chooses after three months of unrest and conflict, European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton said on Tuesday.
