India suggests way forward for Syria

“The Indian position is broadly akin to Russia’s, but It may not be music to the ears of US secretary of state John Kerry who in his speech at the conference said the path to peace in Syria has to involve the world community and it cannot include Assad”
Obviously the solution will involve both the world community and Assad with plenty of big words from the West to cover for their lack of big action and their failed attempt at regime change.

This is a time senor politicians would be loathe to leave the shores of India as far as possible and the fact that External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid who also happens to be the senior spokesman of Congress Party was willing to take his eyes off the 2014 parliamentary poll and head for Montreux underscores the importance Delhi attaches to the Geneva II conference on Syria, which began today, as also signaling India’s willingness to play any whichever role that would help bring peace to that Middle Eastern country.
