One Response to “Putin lures Obama towards engagement”

Studied opinions, and I remark that I really do appreciate the efforts being made on both sides. I’m also rather encouraged that, finally, becoming a bit castrated in public opinion and this confrontation, one-on-one discussions that are at least 30+ years overdue are beginning. It strikes me, though, as rather absurd in itself to think of this all as some kind of game and declaring the players ‘brilliant’ while individuals die and infrastructure becomes shattered. Luading this kind of naked cynicism isn’t by any means consienable. But he openly declared wrongly that he has the power to undertake military action without Congressional approval and it’s at that point that one must think that the idea of allowing one enough rope to hang themselves is lost. I’m sorry, but that strategy assumed is not the basis of decent human relations. Accepting the arguements of these opinions may in itself be part and parcel of the problem that I wouldn’t think that the intellectually astute could conjure from the kettle of their understanding.
