Yes, indeed, the reality is not as it seems on the BBC or in Socialist Worker. They’re not there and by the look it they’re not going to be. Pretending they’ve just learnt about Al Qaeda is a good way to start dissociating themselves from the whole sorry business. ITNT recommends that the Western elites and their myriad stooges take their cue from this.

The general who heads the Free Syrian Army says his forces are dangerously divided and underfunded, al Qaeda is gaining a foothold in the conflict, and a major win that could topple the regime, like seizing Aleppo, is still out of reach.
