The Syrian opposition is acting with instructions from “decision makers” abroad, Syrian Ambassador to the UN Bashar Ja’afari claims in exclusive interview with RT.

He says the instructions come from Doha, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, France and Washington.
Ja’afari insists that Syrian opposition is not homogenous, composed of various forces.
“The opposition in Syria is about wings: we are dealing with peaceful demonstrators on the one hand, but we are dealing also with armed groups on the other hand.”

The Ambassador calls for “national inclusive dialogue” stating “the government is really serious and committed to making the Syrian-led political process”

In a letter to the special envoy to Syria for the UN and Arab League Kofi Annan, Syria said it is “keen to end violence”. But it insisted that armed opposition groups give up their weapons first. It also demanded that Annan halt the supply and financing of weapons to the opposition.
