Arab journalists quit in protest against anti-Syrian propaganda

The major pro-western Arab satellite channels are painting the situation in Syria like an implacable repression by the government against the legitimate revolt of its people. This version is all the more credible in the absence of any public debate.
The fault lies with the Syrian Government which continues to ban nearly all access to foreign media, afraid that the collected information may fall into the hands of the foreign intelligence agencies which are orchestrating the turmoil.
At the same time, a significant number of journalists have refused to take part in the current anti-Syrian propaganda campaign. In this context, mention should be made of the resignation of two leading Arab television figures: Ghassan Ben Jedo of Al-Jazeera and Zeina Yazji, anchor for Al-Arabiya.
