Among the 10 points announced by the government are, among others, banning mobile phones in primary
schools and for children under 6, and putting on the market mobiles that can only be used for SMS (thus
avoiding any radiation exposure), as well as models without a loudspeaker, which require the use of an
earpiece..

‘Rahman says he agreed to make a lengthy tape-recorded confession to a number of terrorist offences, including masterminding the suicide bomb attacks on London’s transport network the previous July.”
Are they looking for an alternative mastermind to the compromised Haroon Rashid Aswat.

When the Bangladeshi police came to take away Jamil Rahman, he says that among the armed officers surrounding the home of his wife’s family were a couple of incongruous figures. Wearing balaclavas that left only their eyes showing were two men who, according to Rahman, towered over the police.

It is hilarious listening to the propagandists try to “spin” the events in bond and currency markets to make it sound like the U.S. government is still operating from a position of strength.
While there are many Western, corporate-media outlets spouting such drivel, I’ll use the Financial Times as my example.“China stuck in dollar trap”, crows FT on May 24th. Then, later “…[Beijing] has little choice but to keep pouring the bulk of its growing reserves into the U.S. Treasury”.

Market expects Fed will have to double purchases of Treasuries.
Yields on 10-year Treasury bonds have risen relentlessly since March when the Fed first announced its plan to buy $300bn (£188bn) of US government debt directly, a move that briefly forced rates down to nearly 2.5pc, a level thought to be the Fed’s implicit target.
Yields have jumped to 3.69pc – after spiking as high as 3.74pc on Wednesday – pushing up the standard 30-year mortgage loan to 5.08pc and lifting the borrowing cost for corporations. Read the rest of this entry »

It is worth mentioning that Chavez, now thinks that China, with much supporting evidence, is leading the world.

During his first official visit to Turkey since being inaugurated as the President of the Republic of Slovenia in November 2007, Dr. Danilo Turk gave a lecture on May 21st at the University of Bosphorus in Istanbul entitled “Multilateralism in an Era of Uncertainty: The Role of the Institutions in the System of the United Nations.”

He suggests that happiness is the appropriate response to competition being of a peaceful nature in today’s world. He continues by asking the question how does the world organize for that competition? From his perspective, he sees this remaining as an open question and he observes that at a recent meeting of the group of G20 in London he saw a pattern of competitiveness mixed with cooperativeness.
