Israel threatens “catastrophe and destruction” on South Lebanon

Posted by seumasach on January 15, 2009

Several residents of south Lebanon on Wednesday received recorded telephone messages from the “state of Israel” warning them against cooperating with Ahmed Jibril’s Palestinian organization and al-Qaida.

The recorded message said: “To the citizens of south Lebanon. Do not deal with the Palestinians. Do not allow al-Qaida or the General Command to launch rockets at Israel from pads deployed between your houses.

“Remember the catastrophe and destruction you suffered in 1982 because of the Palestinian presence in the south.”

The messages were received shortly after three rockets were fired on Israel from south Lebanon.

ISRAELI TERROR UNLEASHED ON GAZA

Since the start of “Operation Cast Lead”, Israeli forces have killed more than 1,000 Palestinians and wounded over 4,580 others — 40% of whom are women and children. If any other country in the world, “democracy” or not, had unleashed an onslaught of such devastating ferocity against 1.5 million defenceless people caged in the most densely populated area on earth, the British government, along with governments across the world, would be expelling its ambassador (as Venezuela and Bolivia have done), stopping arms sales to that country (as Greece has done) and making plans for a wider embargo if the carnage did not stop.
