Sarkozy accuses Gordon Brown of ruining British economy

Isn’t it fitting that Britain, as it gallops towards the edge of the cliff, has a man of Brown’s calibre in the saddle.

Brown  was recently called a “one eyed scottish idiot” by an unsavoury British TV presenter called Jeremy (who has since recanted on the scottish part of that statment).

No doubt Brown would take abuse like the that on an hourly basis, in preference to what Sarkozy has meated out to him.

Mr Sarkozy, who is under pressure over his own handling of the downturn, made his remarks during a live 90-minute grilling screened on three television channels when asked whether he was considering economic stimulus measures similar to Mr Brown’s VAT reduction. Read the rest of this entry »
