In spite of the dithering by the Ministry of Health and the delaying tactics of the phone operating
companies, it is now becoming clear that the mobile phone is a virulent pathogen with damaging
effects that we are only vaguely aware of. Recently it was scientifically proved that there is a
connection between certain types of tumour and the intensive use of a mobile phone. Most in
evidence are cases of acoustic neurinoma, a tumour that develops on the acoustic nerve, as well as
malignant brain tumours. According to this study the risk is multiplied by two or more on the side
where the phone is held.

German Federal Agency For Radiation Protection (Bundesamt für Strahlenschutz – BfS)
Press Release, 31 January 2006
DECT – The Radiation Source at Home: Cordless Phones radiate unnecessarily
A cordless phone of DECT standard is often the strongest source of high frequency electromagnetic radiation in a private home. To renounce your cordless phone as a precautionary measure will contribute to minimise your personal radiation exposure. “However, it would be possible for the industry to develop DECT phones which could address the issues of precaution and radiation protectionbetter than the current devices” said Rüdiger Matthes, expert of the Bundesamt für Strahlenschutz (Federal Radiation ProtectionAgency)

Radiation from artificial electromagnetic fields: France begins to take it seriously?
– There is a significant rise in awareness among French people of the damage that artificial radiation n the microwave hyperfrequency range can cause to human health. – Every day front-page stories and press articles all over the country highlight people’s growing concern, and their testimonies provide damning evidence. – Le Dauphiné front page : Relay antennas in the dock “Psychosis in the Drôme Ardèche?” – Le Midi Libre front page Beziers “Relay antennas : anxiety is spreading”

Prior to 1996, the wireless age was not coming online fast enough, primarily because communities had the authority to block the siting of cell towers. But the Federal Communications Act of 1996 made it nearly impossible for communities to stop construction of cell towers “even if they pose threats to public health and the environment. Since the decision to enter the age of wireless convenience was politically determined for us, we have forgotten well-documented safety and environmental concerns and, with a devil-may-care zeal that is lethally short-sighted, we have incorporated into our lives every wireless toy that comes on the market. We behave as if we are addicted to radiation. Our addiction to cell phones has led to harder “drugs” like wireless Internet. And now we are bathing in the radiation that our wireless enthusiasm has unleashed. Those who are addicted, uninformed, corporately biased and politically-influenced may dismiss our scientifically-sound concerns about the apocalyptic hazards of wireless radiation. But we must not. Instead, we must sound the alarm.

Here is one comment on the incredible antics of British officials trying to defend…., well, mass poisoning.
“If anyone watched the ITV “Tonight” programme Monday 16 Feb. 09, “What’s in your Mouth?” they will be left in no doubt as to the British Government’s inadequacy.

A spate of reports during 2002 is confirming links between electromagnetic radiation from mobile phones and cancer. Dr. Mae-Wan Ho reports.
The complete document with references, is available in the ISIS members site. Full details here
In October, 2002, cell biologist Fiorenzo Marinelli and his team at the National Research Council in Bologna, Italy, reported that radio waves from mobile phones could promote the growth of cancer cells.

Professor Franz Adelkofer, coordinator of the Reflex
report, considers that today we are playing with fire.
12’ 25’’ Professor Franz Adelkofer:
“This is real evidence that hyperfrequency electro
magnetic fields can have geno-toxic effects. And this
damaged DNA is always the cause of cancer. We’ve found
these damaging effects on the genes at levels well below
the safety limits, that’s why we think it is urgent to base
our safety limits on the biological effects not on the
thermic ones, they should be based on biology not on
physics.”

“Gee told the audience that mobile phone manufacturers will not be able to claim immunity if, in ten years or so, it is determined that use of mobile phones cause brain cancer or other illness. They are forewarned now, and simply saying “but we were in compliance with ICNIRP safety limits” will not be sufficient reason for ignoring the growing evidence.”

Listen to Dr. Rau Interview.

Thomas M. Rau, MD, Medical Director of the Paracelsus Clinic
February 10th, 2009. Dr. Thomas Rau, Medical Director of the world renowned Paracelsus Clinic in Lustmühle, Switzerland says he is convinced ‘electromagnetic loads’ lead to cancer, concentration problems, ADD, tinnitus, migraines, insomnia, arrhythmia, Parkinson’s and even back pain. At Paracelsus (www.paracelsus.ch), cancer patients are now routinely educated in electromagnetic field remediation strategies and inspectors from the Geopathological Institute of Switzerland are sent to patients’ homes to assess electromagnetic field exposures.

WASHINGTON (Army News Service, Feb. 6, 2009) — The Army has announced approval for the establishment of a new Electronic Warfare 29-series career field for officers, warrant officers and enlisted personnel.
The new career field will eventually give the Army the largest electronic warfare manpower force of all the services. Nearly 1,600 EW personnel, serving at every level of command, will be added to the Army over the next three years. The Army is also considering adding an additional 2,300 personnel to the career field in the near future as personnel become available, officials said. Read the rest of this entry »

It appears that adverse health effects near phone masts are not just restricted to humans. A study carried out in Valladolid (Spain) in the last two years on nesting storks found some alarming effects on those with nests near to (less than 200m) the phone mast(s). Not only were reproduction levels far lower, but also behaviour was both less co-ordinated and more aggressive.
Summary of results:
