The U.S. Navy is considering moving its Fifth Fleet from where it has long been stationed in Bahrain’s capital, Manama. Bahrain’s ruling al Khalifa family has beenviolently cracking down on pro-democracy protesters in recent months and rising allegations of systematic human rights violations are creating a public relations issue for the U.S., a longtime supporter and ally of the dictatorship.

The latest demonstration happened in north Sehla district, south of Manama, in an apparent protest against the negotiation, which is reportedly aimed to put an end to the political crisis in the Persian Gulf Sheikhdom, local sources told Press TV on Wednesday.

The lawyers from Lebanon, Spain, France and Italy accuse Britain of selling arms, including sniper rifles, to the Manama regime and training Bahraini police forces, who are accused of using heavy-handed tactics against anti-government protesters in the Persian Gulf sheikdom, a Press TV correspondent reported.

Thousands of Bahraini anti-government protesters have poured into the streets in the island city of Sitra, following a call by the country’s largest opposition group al-Wefaq.
The Friday rally was the second mass anti-government demonstration organized by al-Wefaq since the heavy mid-March government crackdown on protesters.

As the Al Khalifa dictators and the Saudi occupiers continue their crackdown against the people of Bahrain, the regime is facing difficult choices. On one hand the international pressures are mounting despite the American and British support. President Obama called Bahrain’s dictator earlier this week to warn him against pursuing the destructive path of human rights violations, the continuing detention of the medical staff including doctors and nurses and against the sectarian cleansing. Despite their arrogance, the Al Khalifa were forced to release some of the female medical staff despite their earlier fabrication of stories to incriminate them. There are growing feelings that the world is finally beginning to discover the full extent of the Al Khalifa crimes and to take firm stands against this bloodthirsty regime.
