The website of Turkey’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs acknowledges that NATO has played a “central role” in the country’s security and insists that Turkey, which became a member in 1952, “attaches utmost importance” to it. Yet Turkey’s commitment to the alliance has never seemed more ambivalent than it does now.

Here is confirmation of China’s potential world leadership. From now on, China has internationalized its “soft power” and these institutions will become truly global in their scope. Why else would “developed countries” like Britain be so desperate to join them- to make sure they live up to our own exacting standards of financial probity?If capital investment coming into Britain comes through banks of which we are founding members things become a lot easier politically

The BRICS New Development Bank (NDB), the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), and the Silk Road Fund are all international initiatives spearheaded by China over the past months that symbolize Beijing’s growing influence in providing development funding and potential new sources of financing for developing countries.

Washington’s EU vassals might be finding their backbone. Britain, Germany, France, and Italy are reported to have defied Washington’s orders and applied to join the Chinese-led Asian Investment Bank. Australia, Japan, South Korea, Switzerland and Luxembourg might also join.

I paint the things that appeal to me, that capture my imagination as I fly above the world in my vessel, I paint the things I love, as though I were writing my autobiography. Painting allows me to pursue dreams, to give life to the people and places I would like to touch, interact with. It is a simple and primary need for expression; a need to tell, to tell about myself. The series on historic centres and rural landscapes presents another trait: the presence-absence of people in the various canvasses. This is partly due to the fact that human stories are told exclusively through the use of colour, and partly due to the hope that in future man will truly deserve a place on this earth and will create a world which is happier, more industrious, honest, clean, respectful and colourful.

School districts, school boards and school medical health officers have been notified that Lloyd’s of London has now excluded any liability coverage for injuries, “directly or indirectly arising out of, resulting from or contributed to by electromagnetic fields, electromagnetic radiation, electromagnetism, radio waves or noise.” This would include the microwave radiation emitting from the commercial wi-fi transmitters and wireless devices in our schools.

It’s been one year since European sanctions were first enacted against Russia on 17 March, 2014, and it’s worthy to briefly highlight their consequences on Moscow. Likewise, the counter-sanctions that Russia imposed on the EU last summer must also be critically looked at in order to assess the economic and political impact of the ‘sanctions war’ on both parties. The results are certainly not at all what the West had anticipated.

A “humanitarian crisis” is exactly the correct characterization of the situation prevailing in Greece as well as in much of Europe, including, of course, Britain. It is crucial to support defendable red-lines in terms of minimum conditions of life regarding food, heating, shelter, water etc. just as one would do in a humanitarian crisis. The right to these requirements should be expressed in real terms, so much food, so much heating etc. since we are in an inflationary environment where wages and benefits are constantly being eroded.

The Greek parliament approved a “humanitarian crisis” bill Wednesday, the first of a raft of social measures proposed by new Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, despite stiff opposition from the European Commission, who called the law a “unilateral” action.

Overlooking US censure, the UK has announced its decision to join China’s Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, becoming the first “major western country” to apply for membership.
“I am delighted to announce today that the UK will be the first major Western country to become a prospective founder member of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, which has already received significant support in the region,” said UK Finance Minister George Osborne on Thursday.
