France organized the Free Syrian Army (FSA), going so far as to endow it with its own flag, that of the French Mandate of Syria (1920-1946). She officially provided the FSA with arms and funding, in breach of international treaties. And, unofficially, she flanked it by officers and trainers with the aim of overthrowing the legal and legitimate government. The FSA has devastated the country’s infrastructure and launched major battles that have cost the lives of nearly 60,000 Syrians, yet failed to seize power.

Hagel hearing: The war party’s Waterloo

1st February, 2013

We have to be thankful to Sen. Lindsey Graham, one of our more theatrical solons, for dramatizing the way in which the Israel lobby intimidates members of Congress: by asking Chuck Hagel if he could name a single Senator who was so intimidated he merely underscored how thoroughly each and every one of them is cowed. The whole spectacle of this public interrogation, with its tiresomely repetitive demands for pledges of undying loyalty to Israel, brought home the truth of Hagel’s remark.

Parents pulling kids out of school because of radiation

Phone Radiation Levels

Parents in Encinitas were pulling their kids out of school because of health  concerns at a charter school according to fox5sandiego. “She’s been attending this school since kindergarten,” said Sonya Goodwin, a  mother.  “I pulled her out of the school just after Christmas, because I  have concerns about the 18 cell sites.”

Michael Schwaebe is an engineer and environmental consultant hired to conduct  a study at the school for the parents.

“I would not have my child in this school,” said Schwaebe. “The levels  of radiation the levels I found were very discomforting.”

Schwaebe found high levels of radio frequency power density. “At that level there are dozens of studies that show significant health  biological effects,” said Schwaebe.

“He would like to see the readings about a million times below what FCC  recommends,” said Executive Director of Julian Charter Schools Jennifer  Cauzza.  She calls Schwaebe’s study unrealistic.
