A decisive loss for Israel

What’s Left

22nd January

Israel’s objectives from the war on Gaza were set long before its launch: to remove the Hamas movement and government, achieve the reinstallation of the Fatah leader, Mahmoud Abbas, in Gaza, and end the armed resistance. Two other objectives were not announced. First, restore the Israeli public’s wavering confidence in its armed forces after its defeat by Hezbollah in 2006. Second, boost the coalition government in the coming elections.

The last time the US restrained Israel in its never-ending wars of aggression was when President Eisenhower pulled the plug on the Anglo-French-Israeli effort to grab the Suez Canal in 1956.

PM Dines With Fellow War Criminals – Gaza Solidarity Demo, London

Posted by seumasach on January 20, 2009

PM DINES WITH fellow WAR CRIMINALS

The demo’ this Saturday 24 January will march to
Downing Street, calling for the lifting of the Gaza blockade,
an end to all arms sales to Israel and for Israel to be made
to pay for its war crimes.

We will also be registering our disgust over Gordon Brown’s
support for Israel following its barbaric attack. The day
after the massacre was ended – so as not to spoil Barack
Obama’s inauguration with pictures of phosphorous bombs
dropping on UN schools in Gaza – Brown rushed off to join five
other heads of government for a celebratory gala dinner at the
Jerusalem home of Israel’s prime minister Ehud Olmert,
alongside Olmert’s compatriots in mass murder, defence
minister Ehud Barak and foreign minister Tzipi Livni.

Divided Arab Leaders Hold Reconciliation Meeting in Kuwait

Posted by seumasach on January 19, 2009

Al-Manar

19/01/2009 … And on the 24th day on the Israeli deadliest war against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, and a few hours after a ceasefire was announced in the besieged strip marking another victory for the Resistance pattern in the region, the Arab leaders were “finally” able to hold an “Arab Summit” amid an unprecedented Arab division.

All the Arabs, including the so-called “moderate” ones, were represented in the Kuwait Summit, days after they rejected to participate in a Qatari-suggested summit over Gaza, resulting in the failure of reaching the needed quorum. Meanwhile, the summit was marked by a reconciliation lunch meeting in which Saudi King gathered leaders of Egypt, Syria, Qatar, Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait. A Syrian well-informed source told Al-Manar that the meeting was frank and sincere. The source noted that the mentioned reconciliation meeting constitutes a first step towards discussing various Arab issues in an attempt to reach common principles.

Entretien de Thierry Meyssan au « Courrier d’Algérie »

Voltairenet

19th January, 2009

Can you imagine that even some Palestinians [or better to use Fatah in today’s terms] are saying:

Qatar is playing with fire, the Emir [of Qatar] crossed all the red lines.

Do you really want to see the outrage of the pro-Israel alliance? Then see this report on Al-Hariri newspaper Al-Mustaqbal saying:

The axis of resistance is a lie… the true name is “axis of Iran”.

I don’t know, how Hariri will explain this to the Emir of Qatar in the future?

Israel Resumes Killing Civilians despite “Ceasefire” Declaration

Posted by seumasach on January 18, 2009

18/01/2009 As its history has always showed that it never binds itself to a treaty, neither respects any decision, Israel on Sunday resumed attacking the Palestinian civilians despite its unilateral ceasefire announced by its Prime Minister Ehud Olmert late Saturday.

An eight-year old girl, identified as Nagham Al-Masri, was killed on Sunday in Beit Hanoun after Israeli occupation troops shot her northern Gaza with three of her family members. And another 20-year-old Palestinian was shot dead by occupation soldiers in the southern Gaza Strip, becoming the first fatality since Israel declared a unilateral ceasefire.
