After several months of aggressions against Syria and several billions invested, the balance sheet of Western campaigns is positive from a media point of view, but mediocre from a military angle. Worse!

The Chinese, Russian and Iranian determination to guarantee Syria’s safety and the observance of International Law would generate such war costs as to sink the economies of those allowing themselves to be drawn in. Those who claim that their country’s direct military involvement in the region would amount to a simple “intervention,” are either foolhardy or driven by an irrational agenda.

Dear Amnesty
In your most recent report on Syria you ask the UN Security council to impose an arms embargo on the Syrian government. You ask for no such arms embargo on the Syrian rebels and only ask that the Security Council “request” of states who supply the rebels that they put “mechanisms” in place to prevent the arms from being used to violate human rights.

Christians are being systematically targeted for genocide in Syria according to Vatican and other sources with contacts on the ground among the besieged Christian community. According to reports by the Vatican’s Fides News Agency collected by the Centre for the Study of Interventionism, the US-backed Free Syrian Army rebels and ever more radical spin-off factions are sacking Christian churches, shooting Christians dead in the street, broadcasting ultimatums that all Christians must be cleansed of the rebel-held villages, and even shooting priests.

Jean-Paul Baquiast (JPB).

At a press conference held on June 4 marking the beginning of China’s presidency of the UN Security Council for the month of June, Li Baodong, China’s Ambassador to the UN, observed that there are different versions of the facts of the Houla Massacre. “Now we have different stories from different angles,” he noted. “Now we have the story from the Syrian government, and from the opposition parties, and from different sources.”
