Putin slams US Kerry over bluffs on Syria

Posted by seumasach on September 5, 2013

[Putin is on safe ground here as Kerry’s propaganda own goals become increasingly bizarrre, especially his claim that if the US don’t attack US allies Saudi Arabia and Qatar will do it with their jihadi assets. This is a parody of the run-up to the 2003 Iraq War which leaves Bush now looking like the voice of reason itself.]

“This was very unpleasant and surprising for me. We talk to them (the Americans) and we assume they are decent people, but he is lying and he knows that he is lying. This is sad,” Putin said.

Kerry’s “new evidence”

Posted by seumasach on September 2, 2013

John Kerry magically comes up with “new evidence” of chemical weapons ahead of UN Inspector’s report

Axis of Logic

2nd September, 2013

On Sunday, John Kerry, US Secretary of State announced that “new evidence” of the use of chemical weapons in Syria has been discovered”through samples that were provided to the United States and that have now been tested from first responders in East Damascus, and hair samples and blood samples have tested positive for signatures of sarin.”

It’s obviously pure unrefined bullshit.

Indian Punchline

1st September, 2013

The Kremlin has released the official text of President Vladimir Putin’s remarks on the Syrian crisis. What is striking is that Putin spoke far more extensively than what the media reports suggested, and, second, he spoke on virtually every aspect of the explosive situation.

Obama backs down!

Posted by seumasach on September 1, 2013

Cailean Bochanan

1st September, 2013

In what Syrian media accurately described as “the start of a historic retreat” Obama backed out of missile strikes against Syria referring the issue instead to congress. So rather than commit political suicide himself he has given that option to congress: it is unlikey that they take it individually or collectively given the groundswell of anti-war opinion in the US.

Obama, the mad president?

Cailean Bochanan

31st August, 2013

One cannot but be struck by the similarity of the the trajectory of William Hague these past days to that of another illustrious Yorkshireman, that Grand Old Duke renowned in rhyme. Although it must be said Hague disposes of nothing like ten thousand men. But he did send in a few strike aircraft to launch some missiles in solidarity with his Jihadi irregulars on the ground in Syria, but only to realize that he would have to bring them all back again after the sensational defeat of the government in Thursday historic vote.

A dodgy dossier on Syrian war

Posted by seumasach on August 30, 2013

Robert Parry

Consortium News

30th, August, 2013

Exclusive: President George W. Bush misled the world on Iraq’s WMD, but Bush’s bogus case for war at least had details that could be checked, unlike what the Obama administration released Friday on Syria’s alleged chemical attacks – no direct quotes, no photographic evidence, no named sources, nothing but “trust us,” says Robert Parry.
