Posted by seumasach on August 1, 2011
Timothy Bancroft-Hinchey
31st July, 2011

Libya rebels say Younis killers were ‘Islamist element’
Posted by seumasach on July 30, 2011
The ultimate fiasco is unfolding before us. NATO are keeping dangerous company with these CIA, salafist networks or is it the CIA, Salafist networks which are keeping dangerous company with NATO. Of course, NATO kept similar company in Kosovo, but at that time they were still able to spin everything to order. Now there game is falling apart- time for Hague to answer for himself in the House of Commons: was he warned about the criminal connections of these groups before he appointed them as Libya’s official representatives? Anyway he can only look away in horror as these words are written on the wall
“We want Muammar to come back! We want the green flag back!”
30th July, 2011

“Mahmoud al-Nacua, the newly appointed diplomatic envoy of the NTC in London, refused to comment.”
Not even a tribute to their military commander or condolences to his family.
“Misrata’s military spokesman joined the city’s ruling council in emphasising that its army units did not take orders from Benghazi.”
The West and our own William Hague recognise the NTC but not the rebels in Misrata.
“In Brussels, Nato officials stressed that they were not fully in the picture on the circumstances of the murder, and that the military alliance did not want to be seen to be speaking for the opposition to Gaddafi.”
The opposition to Gaddafi is the “sole legitimate government” of Libya according the British government and most of the other NATO powers.
A “fractious coalition” is a very diplomatic term for this crowd.
29th July, 2011
The fractious coalition fighting to oust Muammar Gaddafi was plunged into disarray on Friday as the mysterious death of the rebels’ army commander sparked anger from his powerful tribe and distrust among those loyal to the cause.

Another day for Libya’s “sole legitimate representatives”
Posted by seumasach on July 29, 2011
The question is which faction was it that William Hague was supporting: was it the Younis faction or those who are now celebrating his death? It doesn’t appear to have anything to do with Gaddafi’s men so why retaliate by bombing Tripoli?
