Concerning the tragedy in Ukrainian skies

Just like the rest of the world, Russia continues to mourn the loss of innocent lives in the MH17 crash, which occurred in Ukrainian airspace on July 17. Those people fell victim to the war currently raging in Ukraine.
Russia was the first to state to call for an independent, open and objective investigation into the causes of this disaster. The investigation should be international and it should be conducted with decisive roles from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and other international bodies. We believe that such a format will allow all parties to ensure a truly independent investigation, avoid unilateral assessments and find out the true causes of this accident.
