Don’t care much for Morsi, but this is a significant sea change for the Assad regime. Added to the fact that Hamas now support the Syrian revolution, and with now Hezbollah marginalised internationally, this will have consequences in Lebanon. Syria will likely lose support from Iran, if the new leader can successfully block the reported sending of 4,000 IRevolutionary guards to Syria. China will likely withdraw diplomatic support, and all that will be left is the increasingly desperate Putin. But who really listens to him.
