Merkozy to Seek New EU Treaty to Tackle Crisis

Posted by seumasach on December 6, 2011

This puts Cameron in a very interesting situation. If he tries to continue Britain’s wrecking game he’ll find that the EU simply ceases to have a real existence and is replaced by the Eurozone; if he goes along with this plan he will face the wrath of his party’s lunatic eurosceptics.

Spiegel

5th December, 2011

EU leaders attack S&P After ratings warning

Posted by seumasach on December 6, 2011

Hans Michelbach, a member of parliament for the conservative Christian Social Union party, the Bavarian sister party to Merkel’s Christian Democrats, called the S&P warning “an arbitrary decision with no relation to reality.” The aim of the announcement, he said, had evidently been to create additional nervousness ahead of the EU summit. He called on the EU to crack down on the “uncontrolled games” being played by the ratings agencies.

As the UK and US economies disintegrate they continue their campaign to undermine the euro and despite overwhelming, irremedial indebtedness continue to benefit from the indulgence of the rating agencies which are controlled by Wall Street/City of London interests

Spiegel

6th December, 2011

Ratings agency Standard & Poor’s has piled pressure on EU leaders to come up with a deal to save the euro at their summit on Thursday, warning that it may downgrade 15 of 17 euro-zone countries — including powerhouse Germany. EU politicians have criticized the agency’s statement, and are particularly unhappy about its timing.

Pinheiro Report against Syria is as truthful as the tale of ‘weapons of mass destruction in Iraq’

by Nathaniel Braia

Pravda

3rd December, 2011

The recent “report” of the Commission of inquiry on Syria by the UN Human Rights Council stands for its bombastic accusations against the Syrian government, but entirely omitted to present material evidence, or evidence corroborating the charges. It is based upon testimony from unidentified, unqualified people. The “investigative” method used is no different than the “cover” provided by the western corporate media wtih “information” that is without confirmation as to its truthfulness, yet repeated to exhaustion nevertheless.
