History repeats itself in an eternal recurrence. The 12th October, 1940, day of the Jewish celebration Yom Kippur, the Warsaw Ghetto, still a terrible memory, was created. Today, in Sirte, it is NATO who is doing it, but worse. The siege of Sirte is, in reality, nothing other than the antechamber of death for the partisans of Muammar Gaddafi in the new Libyan “democracy”. An exclusive democracy whose first principle is the elimination of all possible opponents with the blessing of those great “democracies”, France, the USA and England.
In Warsaw, the ghetto barely provided food and fuel. In Sirte there isn’t any at all. What’s worse, there isn’t even water. In Warsaw, in the winter of 1940-1941 hunger and cold made themselves felt. In Sirte, famine is a reality, it is happening now. How is it then that we, who live in Europe, denounce what happened yesterday but can’t mobilise against what is happening today? How can the Africans remain silent before the monstrous crimes of NATO and these renegades who sell their country for a plate of lentils? Where is Asia?
Given the disproportion between the forces, the siege of Sirte is a war crime and a crime against humanity. NATO has gone as far as bombing hospitals, as in Sirte. Is that defending civilians? Everyone just turns away in shame. What kind of revolution is this? Imposeing your point of view by force as in Libya is simply criminal. Consequently, those who accept this in the name of some vacuous dialectic, are nothing but monsters, nazis.
When regime change is imposed from outside, contrary to all international law, you enter straight into the authoritarianism which you attribute to the person you want to overthrow. Those who kill Libyan with impunity do so without concerning themselves overmuch. The fate that awaits them in a year, in ten years or more, will be worse than that which they have inflicted on a sovereign nation. An invisible hand will strike them. Some disagree citing the criminal George W.Bush junior who still lives a peaceful life in spite of his crimes in Irak and Afgfhanistan.
Be angry, for Gods’s sake!
