Mercury: response to ITV documentary “What’s in your Mouth?”

Here is one comment on the incredible antics of British officials trying to defend…., well, mass poisoning.
“If anyone watched the ITV “Tonight” programme Monday 16 Feb. 09, “What’s in your Mouth?” they will be left in no doubt as to the British Government’s inadequacy.
We have seen report/comment from just about every part of the western world – stressing the need for mercury to be phased out of use, especially in dentistry. Yet “official advice” from the British Dental Association and UK Government (Cockcroft?) was nothing short of a comedy of which ‘Little Britain’ would have been proud.
The Chief Executive of the BDA refused to answer the questions put to him – instead he waved his hands in the air and “la-la’d” (the preamble to throwing out the dummy), before walking over to the camera and clumsily blocking the lens with his hands. After a short while he agreed to continue the interview – changing his previous answer to the question “Is mercury vapour released during the lifetime of a filling?” – from “NO” to “YES”!!! – What an incredible performance.
Does this all sound familiar?”
