An Iranian ship carrying humanitarian aid for Palestinians is scheduled to arrive at the port of Gaza in the coming days, a report says.

The ship, which carries medicine and foods, has passed through the Suez Canal and awaits for legal permissions to enter Gaza, IRIB reported.

According to the report, it is likely that the ship will dock at the port of Gaza on Saturday.

The Gaza strip has been gripped by a humanitarian crisis since it came under massive Israeli fire on December 27. Gaza residents are suffering from a shortage of fuel, medicine, food and water.

Hospitals are also running out of fuel required for the operation of generators that provide power supply to health facilities.

According to of operations for the ICRC Pierre Kraehenbuehl, the situation of Gaza civilians is “extreme and traumatic”.

Since the start of the Israeli attacks, at least 763 Palestinians have been killed and thousands are reported wounded.
