“China has pledged to contribute to the bailout fund, which not only could increase the firepower available but might also persuade other countries like Japan, Russia, oil-rich states and possibly even the U.S. to actively take part in combating the crisis,” said Markus Huber, head of German sales trading at ETX Capital in London.
China pledged to invest in Europe’s bailout funds and sustain its holdings of euro assets. The commitment offers an incentive to European finance ministers, who are increasing pressure on Greece to deliver budget cuts in exchange for a second bailout.

A couple of months back the Scottish National Party’s defence spokesman. Angus Robertson MP, outlined a new strategic direction for Scotland. Scotland was to embrace a Nordic identity.
“Angus Robertson, a prominent MP in the British Parliament and a leading member of the pro-independence Scottish National Party, has issued a call for Scotland to embrace its long-latent “Nordic” identity and to join with neighbouring Norway and nearby Iceland — as well as Canada and all other Arctic nations — to “properly engage with our wider geographic region.”

Un changement peu attendu encore par les observateurs, malgré des signaux concordants, sera le déclin sinon l’effondrement de la puissance américaine. Il vaudrait mieux parler de la puissance atlantique pour y inclure la Grande Bretagne. Celle-ci ne semble pas en voie de se désolidariser de la puissance américaine et risquera donc de la suivre dans sa chute.

The Eurasian steppes historically represented a serious security dilemma for Russia’s rulers; without natural barriers to hinder the advance of invaders, the flat Russian borderlands proved nearly impossible to defend using pre-modern means. Argentina says it will file a formal complaint with the United Nations over Britain’s “militarization” of the disputed Malvinas (Falklands) Islands.
Amid growing tensions between Buenos Aires and London, Argentina’s President Cristina Kirchner on Tuesday criticized Britain for militarizing their quarrel over the archipelago, saying she would take the case to the UN.
