In the days when Britannia ruled the waves, the British political tradition was to keep Europe down by keeping it disunited. Enthralling notions can linger long past their usefulness. Just as former British naval supremacy is being unconsciously parodied on the Thames, so a growing array of political forces in Britain are clamouring for a break-up of the euro and even of the European Union.

UK to earn £440m from Irish loan

A nifty bit of work by Tory, City spiv, George “artful dodger” Osbourne. In order to bailout British banks to the tune of £143  bullion Britain contributes a measly £3.25 billion and pockets a tidy sum at 5.9% interest. Well if we ain’t just crying our heart out for poor old Ireland.

    Gerry Adams welcomed the disclosure that MI5 is prepared to hand over files on a high-profile murder.

    The €85 billion bailout agreed on Sunday evening between the European Union, International Monetary Fund and the Irish government will enforce the demands of the financial elite through the further impoverishment of the working class. It will ensure that those responsible for the current crisis are protected from any losses, while state finances will be raided once again to bail out insolvent financial institutions.

    The Atlanticist’s astonishing post G20 offensive has involved a new Korean provocation, a renewed and intensified assault on the eurozone and the flooding of the entire world with freshly minted dollars. They have also flooded the world with a wave of freshly penned bullshit from their formidable batteries of lying shills, economists and assorted “experts”. This is the empire’s last and greatest asset, the like of which has never been seen, the human intellect reduced to the tool of bandits, fraudsters and mobsters. The professors profess that all is well in the imperial heartlands, the land of economic recovery, of  the punctilious observance of the highest standards of human rights, the paradigm of progress. That the rest of the world has resolutely decided to move on without us has gone unnoticed: we will defend to the last our right to blindness.
