If the only weapons are stones and sticks then they will obviously ask outside powers to help. Should the west just leave the despot Assad to kill and torture his own people and follow the Russia policy of Darwinism,in supporting the ‘law of the jungle’ and leaving the weaker forces to perish? Pilger is wrong. There comes a time when human have to unite to combat fascism.
